Out now: Fossil - the second Mirage

Our deep space probe Mirage 2 has sent an amazing video stream from a strange interstellar object that has entered our solar system a few weeks ago. Scientist are calling the enigmatic visitor "Fossil", as It appears to be the fragment of a world that was once teeming with life.

The visuals are stunning - fossilised megastructures cover the whole surface of the small planetoid that is traveling with almost 200'000 km/hour through our solar system. "We have no idea where it is coming from. We do not know where it is going. All we know that something catastrophic must have happened to this world, as we could not detect any signs of life," says Michael R. Miller, an astronomer at the European Southern Observatory (ESO). "Fossil shows how fragile advanced eco-system are. Once they are pushed beyond a certain limit, things can go very wrong, very quickly."
